Atari STacy Laptops AS IS Various States of "Working" (or not . . . )
The Brewing Academy presents:
Folks,
You may have noticed that we have been selling some STacys over the past year or two. We got some more. We are testing them all and putting together a list. If you have a particular desire, please LET US KNOW NOW. We will list them as we can, but they are **DEFINITELY** first come, first served. Once these are gone, we will NOT have ANY MORE. Our supplier gave us all that they had!
So, in an effort to get these out the door, we are trying something different. We are going to sell them by generic condition. They are still AS IS, but we are not going to list them by serial number.
We have listed some NOS (New Old Stock) replacement LCD screens. These were from Atari and have been kept in their original shipping case for the last 40 years. However, storage conditions have NOT been temperature controlled. Should be no damage to them whatsoever, but just want to be clear. Still have original packing bags, etc). Shipping will be very careful, so may add a bit more than you are expecting for a light/small item. (The LCD is the same for all three models. Disregard the "Stacy 1" indicator. It is a function of the website constraints, NOT the LCD)
We also have a 3rd party power supply that will work fine. It is variable, so make sure you put it on the correct voltage.
Constants across all conditions:
Has 1 internal floppy installed. It may or may not be working. It MAY have an internal HD installed. If it does, it is definitely not working (but you can hear it running). Keyboard is intact, but some keys may not be working.
Video: "good video" means that we have not seen any flaws, but it was not scrutinized. "Poor video" means that there is some flaw in the screen (lines, wrong colors, artifacting, etc). Video is NOT a reflection of backlight. Backlighting may or may not be present.
CONDITION 1: Complete, powers on, has good video
CONDITION 2: Complete, powers on, missing 1 or more port covers, has poor video
CONDITION 3: Complete, powers on, missing 1 or more port covers, no video
CONDITION 4: Complete, does NOT power on, missing one or more port covers.
CONDITION 5: Condition 4 AND Physical problems (missing port covers and/or missing screws and/or crack in case
PARTS: This is a system that may or may not be complete. It may not even be assembled. We *think* it has everything. You are getting it cheap for a reason. This is NOT to say that we have scavenged it for parts. It came to us that way and it is leaving that way.
