MacRorie has left the building!

Folks,

Yesterday afternoon, we dropped the UPod off at the transport location.  We had spent the entire day prior packing it into boxes and putting it on the pod.  Finished a little after midnight 13 Jun 2026.  Over the next few days and weeks, MacRorie (that's me, the mountain man looking guy) will disappear from the website.  You will deal with Dan (the civilized looking guy).  He has everything I had and then some.  He's a nice person.  I think it's as good of a fit as anything.

Thus ends my formal association with The Brewing Academy after 21 years.  It's time for me to not be beholden to anyone but my wife and children (and even then, they can pound sand once in a while ;-) ) I can say it has been an informative and an eventful ride.  I learned a lot from all of you (both good and bad).

I know I fundamentally changed my approach to responding to emails and problems.  If I could say anything as "parting advice," it would be this: Anytime you get an email or a text or see a post that makes you want to come off of the top rope to respond, maybe take a breath (okay TEN breaths) and then respond in a way that is NON_AGRESSIVE and not passive aggressive either.  It puts the receiver in a better mood and usually allows you to get an answer that makes sense.  NOTE, I did NOT say it would let you get a resolution.  Sorry, sometimes you just gotta say "Well, fuck," and move on.   Remember, "Can't say it, can't do it."

ALWAYS stand up for what you believe is correct (remember, your "right" is not everyone's), but you don't have to be a dick about it.  IN the words of Ted Lasso, "Maybe question a little more, judge a little less."

Okay, soapbox collapsed.  In the future, if you see a "MacRorie" playing a game or commenting on line, that will probably be me.  I will have the same avatar I have had since the early 90s!

Later! It's been a slice.
