Coronavirus & You! (or how the economy is globalized, so get used to it!)

Folks,

As I am sure you have heard, coronavirus is a nasty concern around the globe.  Although all reports are that it is not the start of the zombie apocalypse, it does have one implication: China is not producing or shipping a lot of stuff that, well, we use on a regular basis.

When we order parts and boards and things for your machines, we try to do it in very large orders so that we don't have to keep ordering.  Unfortunately, we usually estimate a lead time that is NOT what is happening right now.  Even with the the Chinese New Year delays, we are usually back to regular order by now.  We are not.  Not even by a long shot.  Most of China is either quarantined, locked down, or simply not staffed at high enough levels to get stuff out the door.

I have parts for everything for a while, but unless things start moving again (say before March 15), there are going to start to be shortages on products.  I will keep you apprised of events, but wanted to give you a head's up.

Let me know if you have questions!

-M
