The 800 version will work in ALL situations (Xl/XE/5200), but the cable length is not changeable. See pictures for where it reaches. It would be perfectly fine in a 1088XEl/XLD and/or a 576NUC+ In an XL/XE, it would be a little tight, but doable (especially if you were running it to the RF portion of the case). Not sure how it would fit on the 5200.

This is an add-in board that REPLACES the GTIA in all Atari computers, including the 1088XEL or XLD. It consists of two boards: one board is inserted into the GTIA socket; the second board holds the DVI connector and is attached to the first by a ribbon cable (included).
If you have a 5200, there is a 5200 access door replacement that we will sell you with an extended cable, so you can make it pretty without putting a hole in your case. The kit comes with both versions of the access door (one with a hole for an RCA jack for sound and one without).
If you have a 600XL or an 800XL, we selll it with a PBI replacement cover. This allows you to NOT cut a hole in your case. You will have to lengthen the cable for the 800XL (we also sell a version with the cable 2x as long for the 800XL)
NOTE 1: If your 8-bit is NOT socketed, you will have to de-solder the GTIA and install a 40 pin socket.
NOTE 2: If you are installing this in a regular Atari (400/800/XL/XE) OR a 1088XLD, you will either have to modify your case and/or let the connector hang out the back.
NOTE 3: If you are installing this in a 1088XEL, you will need a DVI compatible backplane (available for sale here or design your own)
NOTE 4: It will work in the 5200, AND you can change the configuration ON THE 5200 with this ROM-->CLICK ME! You will, of course, need some way to get it on the 5200. A supercart or flashcart will work.
NOTE 5: If you are planning on installing this in your Atari 800 AND you do not want to cut a huge hole in your RF shield, then you will need to be the 800 version. Here is another way to install it in an 800 without massive drilling: CLICK ME!
